Spray foam insulation in Spring

Spring and the Klein area have some of the oldest suburban housing stock on the north side, and the attic insulation in a lot of those homes is original. If your house was built in the 1970s or 80s off Louetta, Cypresswood or FM 2920, there is a good chance the attic is the reason your bills look the way they do.

What we see in Spring houses

Spring's neighborhoods span forty years: 1970s and 80s sections like Northampton, Champions and Ponderosa Forest, 1990s Gleannloch Farms and Windrose, and 2000s Auburn Lakes and Augusta Pines. The older homes typically have compressed batts or thin blown insulation, sagging ductwork, and dozens of unsealed penetrations at can lights, top plates and chases. Those are the houses where a foam conversion changes the whole feel of the second floor.

We inspect the roof deck condition carefully on older homes before we spray, because foam covers what is underneath it. Any staining, past leaks or rot get addressed with you first. We also evaluate attic mounted gas appliances before proposing a sealed assembly.

Newer homes in Auburn Lakes and Augusta Pines are mostly candidates for a straightforward roof deck conversion, and new construction in the Grand Parkway corridor is coordinated with the builder before drywall.

Commercial and industrial

Commercial work in Spring

Springwoods Village and the Grand Parkway corridor brought corporate campuses, hotels, medical and retail to Spring in a short window, with supporting warehouse and flex space along I-45 and Hardy Toll Road. We insulate metal buildings, tilt wall warehouses, church campuses and school facilities across Klein and Spring ISDs, and we carry the pollution liability and bonding that institutional projects require.

Local FAQ

Spring questions

My 1980s attic has old batts. Do they have to come out?

Not always. If the old insulation is dry and not contaminated we can often leave it on the attic floor and foam the roof deck above it. If it is wet, rodent damaged or in the way of a proper air seal, removal is priced into the quote and done before we spray.

Do you handle attic ductwork problems too?

We point them out and photograph them, and we can coordinate with your HVAC contractor. Foam brings the ducts into conditioned space, which helps, but crushed or disconnected ducts still need to be fixed.
